Are you trying to get into shape – but have such a busy schedule that you find you don’t have time to go to the gym? Sometimes there are ways that we can work out without leaving the comfort of our own home. Sure we can opt to buy a treadmill – but they are expensive and finding room in your house for one of them can be tricky.

If you live in a two story house than the best thing that you could do is to walk up and down your stairs. To make it effective you need to walk at a good pace (not too fast) and you need to walk for at least 30 minutes.

For those of you who don’t have stairs to walk up and down on grab an ottoman and for 10 to 15 minutes do step ups. If you don’t have an ottoman you can always go to the store and pick up something that would work well for this exercise.

When doing either one of these aerobic exercises you want to make sure that you keep a steady rhythm when you walk. The best way to do this is to buy a CD that has a mixture of music that had great rhythm to it. Try not to get something that has a slow rhythm – but also don’t get one with a rhythm that would be too fast for you. Not only can this help your rhythm – but it can also make your work out more enjoyable.
