Tae Bo is a series of martial arts, aerobic exercises that was created by Billy Blanks – a Tae Kwon Do artist. It is one of the first and one of the best routines that combines both cardio and boxing exercises. The name Tae Bo stands for Total Awareness Excellence Body Obedience – which describes perfectly what you can expect from this full body work out.

Billy Blanks created Tae Bo in 1989 when he mixed together his Tae Kwon Do training with his boxing training and mixed them altogether with music. Many celebrities – like Paula Abdul – have been known to use the routine with great success and since the 90’s it has been sold across the world.

Tae Bo was not created as a way to teach self-defense – but only as a way strengthening all the muscles in the body to help you to lose weight and to improve your health. There are several different DVD’s that you can look for and each will focus on different parts of your bodies and will work well with your body.
